Introduction to the Power of Breath

Sat. 3 March, 11am - 2pm

A workshop for yoga teachers and others who want to develop a pranayama
practice and/or teach pranayama

Your breath both responds to and controls your emotions as well as your thoughts. No one can survive without breathing, yet many people cause ourselves to experience profound mental and physical suffering by failing to breathe properly.

This workshop introduces you to the revitalizing and regenerating effects that breathing exercises can have on your body and mind. By working with your physical breath and learning to control it, you can gain control of the more subtle energies within your body. This workshop presents powerful tools to make your mind calm, clear and steady. It is unique in its practical as well as theoretical approach - and promises to be of great interest to practitioners of all yoga traditions.
